Founded in 1957, the Clara B. Rees Iris Society is made up of iris enthusiasts, hybridizers and avid gardeners in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are an affiliate of the American Iris Society, Region 14, a non-profit organization. Our goal is to inspire interest in the genus iris and we do that by growing, propagating and hybridizing iris.

Meetings are held the first Friday of the month. Doors open at 7:00 pm and the meeting starts at 7:30 pm. The April and May 2024 meetings will be held at the Willow Glen Library, 1157 Minnesota Ave., San Jose, CA 95125. Annual dues are $15 per individual.

Upcoming CBRIS Events:
Our Potted Iris Sale will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the Saratoga Farmer’s Market, 14000 Fruitvale Ave. Saratoga. We will be selling our 2 gallon pots for $10 each.
April 7 CBRIS Open Gardens
Our Spring Show, “A Rainbow of Iris”, will be a one day show on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at the Joan Pisani Community Center, 19655 Allendale Ave., Saratoga. We will have horticulture and artistic displays. Entries will be accepted from 8 am – 10 am. Open to the public from 12:00 pm – 5 pm.
